How long have you been doing triathlon, and when did you turn pro?
I have been involved in triathlon since 1991, taking it easy during the first years. After my first solid winter training I jumped from being top 3 in Denmark to being 2nd at the IIU world champs in 1999. Since then I have trained and competed at the elite level and turned fulltime pro in 2002.

Best achievement ever?
It is a tough one, but my first world championship in 2004 was very special since I had a major injury just four months before and had the most amazing preparation where everything just clicked and came together on race day. My two victories in Ironman 70.3 California in 2002 and 2005 have also been special, since they are probably the two races where I have reached worldclass level in all three disciplines on the same day.

Why did you choose Craft as your preferred brand?
This is always a mix of different aspects. Craft?s core values fit well with my personal conviction and they were a good match to my sponsor team. The apparel has excellent functional design, great Scandinavian looks and a superior choice of fabrics.

Example of a training week:
My usual base week consists of 18-20K swim, 4-500K bike and 80-90K run. Mostly aerobic training, but spiced up with specific strength endurance sessions, technique drills and long rides only on water to enhance training effect.
